Award winning gas fired boiler range extended

Leading manufacturer, Worcester, Bosch Group, has unveiled the new Greenstar Si Compact combi boiler and upgraded the Greenstar i Junior.

The new Greenstar Si Compact

The all-new Greenstar Si Compact brings Worcester’s state of the art WB7 heat exchanger, Heatronic 4i digital display and new compact hydraulic group to the mid-range combi boiler, enabling a series of premium features for apartments and small to medium sized one bathroom properties.

With dimensions of 690 x 390 x 280mm, the new model is smaller than ever before and, like Worcester’s Greenstar CDi Compact, has been designed to fit inside a typical kitchen cupboard and is available in 25kW and 30kW outputs. This results in DHW flow rates of 10.2 lts/min and 12.3 lts/min at a DHW temperature rise of 35°C. It also contains the WB7 heat exchanger, Worcester’s smallest high performance heat exchanger to date. With a heat cell manufactured using the friction stir welding process, the inclusion of the WB7 within the new Greenstar Si Compact also results in very low NOx and CO emissions.

The latest model also sees increases in the maximum permissible flue lengths for both horizontal and vertical applications, as well as compatibility with our flue plume re-direction system.

Redesigned Greenstar i Junior

The new Greenstar i Junior meanwhile, offers vastly improved hot water control thanks to the addition of a hot water temperature controller, which allows the end-user to benefit from increased functionality. The new model is also EMS-BUS enabled, which allows for greater control when installed as part of a hybrid installation and cross-compatibility with the manufacturer’s range of intelligent controls. The new Greenstar i Junior’s switch mode power supply gives it lower standby electrical losses of just 3.5 watts.

Working with installers and delivering innovative features

Martyn Bridges, Worcester’s director of marketing and technical support, commented: “As a leading manufacturer within the boiler market we take our responsibility of working closely with installers to provide the cutting edge technology and innovative solutions very seriously as we look to exceed expectations, time and again. There are now over 1 million Greenstar i Junior combi boilers installed, meaning it is a tried and tested product, clearly already well-suited to customers’ requirements.

“The development and introduction of our new combis provides a brand new range of benefits including increased efficiencies and even easier installation. By introducing new propositions and expanding the capabilities and options already available within the highly popular Greenstar boiler range, we’re committed to offering installers and homeowners high quality products and innovative solutions for every eventuality, adding benefit wherever we can.”
